The Central Alberta Baseball League (CABL) year-end playoffs are coming in June. They are a season-ending weekend tournament after the regular season. Host association/location yet to be determined, but hopefully it is in Lacombe like last year! The plan is June 19th-21st, we will find out more from CABL in the coming weeks.
It generally works like this:
* All teams in our division qualify
* Teams are seeded based on regular season standings
* The tournament is usually hosted by one or multiple associations in Central Alberta
* Games are played over a weekend (often Friday-Sunday)
* 2 or 3 round-robin games, then playoffs
* Gold/Silver/Bronze side or A/B finals depending on number of teams
* Top teams advance to A final/championship
* Lower seeds may still play consolation games
* Everyone usually gets multiple guaranteed games
